Why do I see conversions after the attribution window has passed?
Leanplum is tracking conversions done by users within the attribution window configured for the Campaign.
However, it is possible for you to see conversions for a Campaign AFTER the attribution window has passed.
That's because we are restarting the attribution window on every interaction of the users with the Campaign and it's messages.
This usually can be seen for Campaigns containing an Emails, where a user can Open the Email and interact with the Campaign a long time after he received it.
Here is one example:
1. User receives a Scheduled Email Campaign on 23rd of July.
2. Attribution window is set to 7 days and expires on 30th of July.
3. User opens the Email on 31st of July and we track that Open event. This counts as interaction with the Campaign and at that moment, we restart the attribution window for that user.
4. User tracks the conversion event on 2nd of August (2 days later) and we count this conversion for the Campaign.
